The Biodiversity Crisis: Is Rewilding The Answer?

Scientists warn that Earth’s sixth mass extinction event is underway, which threatens our very survival. What are the most effective measures we can take to not only halt ecosystem destruction but also repair the damage and allow species numbers to recover?

This podcast is a recording of a workshop that explored the idea of “Rewilding” – what is rewilding, examples and benefits of rewilded landscapes, as well as some of the limitations to the current models.

Speakers:

Saoirse McHugh – Environmental activist and Rewilding enthusiast.
Ian Rappel – Conservation ecologist and Director of the College for Real Farming and Food Culture. He has written extensively on the biodiversity crisis.
Conor O’Kane – Community Gardener, Seed Saver and Permaculture Practitioner.
