Emergency Appeal- Support Our Election Fund

Join Our Campaign

The partnership game between Fine Gael and Fianna Fail is over and a general election will be called shortly.

The mainstream media will present it as a Fine Gael versus Fianna Fáil contest but the reality is they have the exact same policies- presiding over a rip- off Ireland with record hospital waiting lists, an extreme housing crisis, and the highest childcare costs in Europe.

Despite all this- there is hope.

The last election 2016 saw two other TDs, Brid Smith and Gino Kenny, join Richard Boyd Barrett in the Dail. The difference that has made is enormous.

We have used our seats to:

Cut the Rents – Increase our wages

We will propose a bill for proper rent controls and security of tenure.

Homes for All- Need not Greed

Stop the sell-off of public land. Use it to build social and affordable housing.

Scrap third
level fees

Raise the SUSI grants and eligibility thresholds. Cut class sizes in schools.

A Living Wage and Job Security

Scrap Croke Park hours for public servants. Raise the minimum wage to a living wage of €15 an hour. Abolish USC tax for those under €90,000.

Real equality for people with disability and Special Needs

Make public transport accessible to all. Guarantee early assessment and intervention for autism and other disabilities.

End the Two-Tier Health system

Establish a national health service, free at the point of use. Hire more frontline staff and restore pay to cut hospital
waiting lists.

Radical Climate Action – For People And Planet

Free public transport and more buses. Proper grants to fund retrofitting of houses.  Put a carbon tax on the big polluters not on ordinary people.

Restore Pension
Age to 65

Fine Gael and Fianna Fail will raise the retirement age to 68 –the highest in Europe.
Increase the old age pension.

Abolish Unjust taxes and end Rip Off Insurance

Scrap the property tax
on family home. Create a
publicly owned insurance company to cut costs.

Guarantee 33 hours Free Childcare per week

Cap fees at 3% of income and then move to a free public service.

But now we face a challenge.

With many global economists saying another recession is on the way, it is more important than ever that we keep our socialists in the Dáil.

Leo Varadkar and Micheal Martin would love nothing more than to see us lose our seats, to clear the way for them to impose more austerity,  to privatise our utilities, and to continue digging up fossil fuels and destroying the planet.

We can’t let this happen.

So we’re asking for your help.

  • Elections cost money
  • Posters, videos, leaflet printing are all essential to mounting a viable election contest
  • People before Profit takes no corporate donations.
  • People before Profit TD’s only take the average industrial wage.
  • We have no big business backers.
  • We don’t have a €1 million ‘war-chest’ like Fine Gael.

But we do know that small donations from our supporters can make an enormous difference to the impact we make in the upcoming elections.

If you want to see socialist rebels in Dail Eireann, please consider donating to us in the link below.

Your small donation could be the difference between a voice for working people in the Dáil, or a Dáil made up entirely of elites who are totally detached from the lives of ordinary working people.

We offer one guarantee – a vote for People Before Profit will never to be used to prop up a Fianna Fail or Fine Gael government.

One more promise- whatever you can give will be used in the best way possible.
