Tomorrow (18/09/2019) beginning at 11am Dublin Renters Union will host a ‘Tent City’ protest outside the offices of Vulture Fund Val Issuer Dac on Molesworth Street.

The ‘Tent City’ protest is being called in order to highlight vulture funds mass evicting people by various means into homelessness particularly in South Richmond Street, Dún Laoghaire and Inchicore.

At the event there will be a satirical exhibition of the new type of accommodation for people.

Activists and artists will set up tents outside the offices of Val Issuer on Molesworth Street and hand out satirical advertisements of tent accommodation.

At 10.30am, Dún Laoghiare TD Richard Boyd Barrett will question Minister Murphy on the issue of mass evictions, using South Dublin, Dún Laoghaire and Inchicore as examples.

The TD will question the Minister on the ability of these vulture funds using legal loopholes in order to mass evict tenants. During the questioning tenants facing evictions from the areas mentioned will view proceedings from the
