Gerry Carroll has described the surge in seats for People Before Profit as “an unprecedented breakthrough for the Socialist left.”
Gerry added: “We are witnessing the emergence of a new style of politics, and People Before Profit is right at the heart of it. Its time the big parties sat up and listened.”
“It’s clear that the decision by Sinn Féin and the DUP to support welfare reform has gone down badly with the electorate. We will now use our mandate to demand that the abolition of welfare reform is a red line in next week’s Stormont talks.”
