Join us online at 6pm on Monday September 21st for an online public meeting on the upcoming Dáil motion to make data centres pay the same for a unit of electricity as ordinary consumers.
Currently Data Centres get half-price electricity compare to households, the PBP motion would close that gap with a charge on data centres which would fund a €500 energy credit for every household. The motion will be voted on in the Dáil on September 23rd, and we want to use it as a springboard for building the wider campaign against the expansion of data centres.

Data centres are putting huge demands on our electricity system and infrastructure while households face rising costs and pressure on public services. The question of who pays for this expansion is also a question about what kind of economy we want, and who it is being run for.
