The Israeli army has murdered 500 civilians in a deliberate bombing at the al-Ahli al-Arabi hospital in Gaza.
This is a shocking war crime which has a deadly purpose. Israel wants to strike terror into the people of Gaza so that they will flee the area. It is another Nakba – the word used to describe the original terror of 1948 which drove Palestinians off their land.
The world cannot sit silently while we watch these crimes.
The leaders of the Western powers have declared their full solidarity with Israel. True, they occasionally call for more ‘balance’ or a more ‘proportionate response’. But they fully support Israel’s punitive attack on Gaza.
The people of many countries, however, watch with horror. They see the double standards and the cruel equation that Israeli lives are viewed as more valuable than the hundreds of Palestinians who die under relentless bombardment.
We need mass militant action around the world to stop the slaughter. That is why People Before Profit is urging you to attend the emergency protests that are organised.
Our goal is simple – we want:
· To expel the Israeli Ambassador from Ireland.
· A total boycott of Israeli goods and urge workers not to handle or sell them.
· The Irish government to call for the resignation of Ursula Von Leyen.
· No more welcomes for Joe Biden who has armed Israel to the hilt.
