You can wait years for a hospital appointment. And if you fall and turn up in an A&E unit you can wait for over 20 hours.
Overall, hospital waiting lists have now reached over 907,000 across all specialities, including over 100,000 children waiting to be seen.
It is a shocking indictment of a government that cannot provide basic social services. They should be thrown out of office.
The ESRI says that Ireland is short of 1,000 hospital beds. Meanwhile, young nurses are fleeing the country because conditions are so bad.

- Pay nurses a decent wage and give them proper conditions of work.
- Create hundreds of new hospital beds each year.
- Take private hospitals into public ownership and create ONE National Health Service.
