It is happening before our eyes – on our screens.
Israel’s attack on 1.4 million people in Rafah is utterly horrific. They aim to ethnically cleanse Palestinians from Gaza.
They could not do this without the active support of the US. They supply the bombs, the money, and the political cover.
Irish politicians have increased their rhetoric of ‘concern’. They know that most people stand with the Palestinians and so they want to be seen to give voice to this sentiment.
But they do not want to do anything that would upset their imperial master in the USA. This explains the huge gap between rhetoric and action.
The only way we can get real action is through people power. We need:
- Immediate sanctions on Israel
- Expulsion of the Israeli ambassador
- Boycott St Patrick’s Day in Washington – no shamrock for genocide Joe
- Stop the US military using Shannon airport
