National Cuts affect Local People

  • Increase grant aid for the retrofitting of existing homes
  • with insulation
  • Allow apprentices to finish their training, helping them to
  • avoid further exploitation
  • Local Issues are national issues

All local services, such as enviroment projects using the back to work schemes, now cut by unelected managers, to be returned to the commuinity that desperately need them.

Remove Treasury Developers from any further influence on the future of the proposed new Ballymun Shopping Centre. Build a shopping centre to a scale that fits the local area thereby removing the empty site that now sits at the heart of Ballymun.

Vacant retail units in Dublin North West to be taken into local control and let free of charge to local businesses and commuinity groups who wish to start up projects in the Dublin Area, with a view to training and employing local staff.

Such a scheme could be deliveried nationwide.
The increase in tax revenue and the saving of workers coming off the dole will more than compensate for the lack of rent return.
