May 15 2020: Covid-19 In Direct Provision: Full Amnesty For Residents Now!

Disturbing images and information from residents of Direct Provision centres around the country confirm the accommodation in several centres is in flagrant breech of health guidelines for dealing with Covid-19.

With residents speaking out about their fears for their safety, and appalling breaches of human rights clearly taking place, action is needed without delay.

People before Profit raised the alarm about impending catastrophe in the nursing homes, now- we are seeing the same warnings being ignored in the case of Direct Provision centres.

We are proposing an immediate amnesty for current residents in the system that would grant them asylum and end the Direct Provision model.
