Latest IPCC Report Reveals Climate Disaster

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has claimed that it is ‘almost inevitable’ that temperatures will rise above 1.5C. Once this occurs, the changes will become irreversible.

Despite all the talk, global emissions in the previous decade climbed by about 2.1% each year.

This shows the blatant hypocrisy of world leaders who gathered at the COP 26 conference in Glasgow late last year. Even the UN General Secretary has denounced them as ‘liars’.

The IPCC report was compiled before the Ukraine war began and since then it has become far worse.

As oil and gas prices rise, the US is opening more sites for fracked gas. It is pressurising countries like Ireland to open new LNG terminals so it can ship this gas across the Atlantic ocean.

There are now 465 new mines or mine expansions under development that will emit an additional 11.3 million tonnes of methane each year.

Capitalism is driving us to war – and is threatening our planet. We really do need system change.
