We Need a Change of Government
On December 17th, Micheál Martin will hand over the Taoiseach’s job to Leo Varadkar. The Taoiseach may change, but the Cost of Living and Housing Crisis will continue.
- Inflation is now 9.2%. The highest rate since 1984.
- It will be over 10% by the end of the year.
- Everything is still going up including electricity, home heating oil and food.
- Rents are rising at record levels.
- Interest rate increases are adding huge additional costs to households.
Almost nothing was done to address the housing crisis in the budget. Household still face huge energy bills.
Send a clear message to the new Taoiseach and his government that real action is still needed to control prices, rents and interest increases. We need pay, pension and benefit increases to match the rate of inflation.
