Climate Activists Facing Courts – Come Support!

Thursday 28 September, 10am Criminal Courts, Conyngham Rd

Five years after climate activists under the Extinction Rebellion banner staged a week-long occupation outside the government buildings in Dublin, the state is attempting to criminalise them.

Thousands of people of all ages participated in the protest against the government’s failure to address large-scale ecological disaster. In the wake of devastating floods across the world, increasingly violent storms, and the Lough Neagh crisis, we must stand in solidarity with those fighting for climate justice. We must fight against capitalism-driven climate catastrophe.

During the XR protest in 2019, several activists locked themselves to the gates of Leinster House, and later forcibly removed by Gardaí and arrested. Two of these activists will appear in the District Court in Dublin at 10:15am tomorrow, Thursday 28th September.

Show up outside the court at 10am to show your support and solidarity. We have a world to win, and we can only win together!
