Challenge Israeli Apartheid

People Before Profit Palestine campaigner Gavin Campbell said:

“2018 marks the 70th year of popular resistance by Palestinians to dispossession and ethnic cleansing. People around the world will show their solidarity with Palestine when they join in Israeli Apartheid week actions.

Internationally, the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement is the cutting edge of the struggle to end Israeli Apartheid. Despite Israel’s and its backers efforts, the BDS movement continues to grow and win support across the world.

Young Ahed Tamimi is an inspiration to all progressives and has become a symbol of the brave and dignified struggle of the Palestinian people for equality and justice.

People Before Profit encourages people in Derry to participate in the local Ireland Palestine Solidarity Campaign and Derry Antiwar Campaign organised “Wall of Sound for Palestine” event tomorrow. This is opportunity for us to think globally and act locally. As the the great Martin Luther King said, “an injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

We also encourage people to support BDS by not buying goods from Israel in local supermarkets.”

The ‘Wall of Sound’ event will begin tomorrowSaturday, 10 March, at 3pm at the Ferryquay Street Gate.
