130 Irish soldiers will undergo an ‘evaluation’ exercise with NATO in a Cork military barracks. The exercise will be overseen by a US Lieutenant Colonel who is part of NATO’s European command.
It is yet another step to get us to accept the ending of neutrality. Instead of keeping the exercise secret, stories about the exercise are being planted in the mainstream media.
A similar exercise was conducted last year, and the US Navy Commander who was in charge spelt out NATO‘s real aims.
He said ‘We’re using the same doctrine in general, our equipment can mostly work together with the intent being if I needed to pluck a unit from another country, you fill in the blank’.
In other words, it is all about getting the army to fight alongside NATO or even join it in the future.
