Cllr Shaun Harkin: "Access to it can be endangered if the safety of drivers and passengers is threatened. The response to the bus attack should send a clear message to those responsible for the attack."

People Before Profit Cllr Shaun Harkin said,

"The Foyle Metro bus attack this weekend was a travesty. Young children, bus users and the driver could have been seriously hurt.

People Before Profit send our solidarity to everyone impacted. I've spoken to trade union representatives and extended our support to the driver and the entire workforce. 

Those involved should understand how reckless their actions were and the danger it posed. 

Bus services have been attacked in other parts of the city. Many people depend on public transportation for work, hospital appointments, shopping and much else.
