The crowd only gained entry because US cops were in partial sympathy and failed to resist. Anyone who doubts that should look at how they attacked a Black Lives Matter demonstration in front of those same buildings.

Their strategy has been to divide working people so they can hold onto massive wealth. They spread the poison of racism and crazy conspiracy theories to defend their system against even tiny reforms.
The US left should take all this as a warning. They need to mobilise thousands on the streets and become the focal point of anger against a dying system.
