People Before Profit North Belfast Representative Condemns Sectarian Attack

Speaking after a grieving mother was told she had 24 hours to vacate her home, which was subsequently spray painted with sectarian slurs, People Before Profit North Belfast representative Fiona Ferguson said, ‘This attack by a gang of self proclaimed paramilitaries is a disgraceful act of sectarianism that belongs in the past. I have spoken to the woman’s family to express my sympathies and solidarity. No person, least of all a grieving mother, should be subjected to such acts of hatred.’

‘The people who are making these threats represent a very small minority of North Belfast and it is imperative that the surrounding community, political reps and necessary authorities make it clear that their actions are not acceptable.’
